    Playing standards such as Softly As In A Morning Sunrise in the style of Coltrane, this group of local musicians impressed a small but delighted audience with classics from the Herbie Hancock repertoire,  including Dolphin Dance and Cantaloupe Island.

    These tunes served as a great vehicle for some expressive soloing with lots of interaction between band members, and helped raise money for a worthy cause:
