Love Supreme Festival have announced their full line up, including artists appearing on the Bandstand: Three Little Birds, Paul Richards Trio, Giwha and the 1618, Sonnymoon for 3, Charlotte Glasson, Roy Hilton, Rory ingham, Where Pathways Meet, Sen3, Peter Fraize, Johnny Mansfield, Pete Hill Quintet and the 9-piece Tomorrow’s Warriors Female Frontline (led by saxophonist Aleksandra Topczewska.

    This year’s Petworth Festival runs from 17th July until 4th August. Tickets are available to buy from 10th May onwards. The festival’s jazz highlights this year include Dame Evelyn Glennie with Trio HLK and Pete Long’s All Star Goodmen Orchestra appearing at St. Mary’s Church, whilst the Leconfield Hall hosts Buster Birch’s Buster Plays Buster and the Darius Brubeck Quartet. The ever-popular Jazz in the Stables night features Swing Zazou and The Dixie Ticklers.

    Multi-instrumentalist Charlotte Glasson has a new album coming out entitled Robots and will be performing at the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea on 22nd June as part of her tour to promote the album. 

    Also with a new album out are Frank Harrison and Brigitte Beraha. The duo album is entitled The Way Home, and includes music commissioned by Oxford Contemporary Music in memory of poet David Attwooll.

    All Saints Church in Hove have announced their summer programme of jazz concerts. The lunchtime series begins on Thursday 14th June with the Mark Crooks Quartet. Other artists in the forthcoming programme include Terry Seabrook’s latin group T-Rio, Allison Neale with Alex Bryson, Geoff Simkins/Nikki Iles/Dave Green, the Spike Wells Trio and Dave Newton with Nat Steele. The series ends on 25th October with Karen Sharp performing with Robin Aspland and Steve Thompson. All performances are on Thursdays at 1pm and are free to the public with a retiring collection.    

    Global music streaming service Deezer have teamed up with Jazz FM to launch Jazz Stories, a series of hour long playlists focussing on different record labels, such as Impulse!, Colombia, Atlantic and ECM. Each episode will include audio commentary from Jazz FM presenters such as Helen Mayhew, Chris Philips and Jez Nelson.
